LTO Region 6 Joins “Lab for All” to Empower Local Communities

The Land Transportation Office Region 6 (LTO-6) played a key role in the “Lab for All” initiative, a groundbreaking program spearheaded by First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos. Held on April 29, 2025, at the New Lucena Town Auditorium in Iloilo, the event brought together national government agencies and private sector partners to provide essential services directly to the grassroots.

Under the dynamic leadership of Regional Director Atty. Gaudioso “Didoy” Geduspan II and Assistant Regional Director Jeck D. Conlu, LTO-R6 demonstrated its commitment to accessible public service. One of the event’s highlights was the distribution of motor vehicle plates to members of Tricycle Operators and Drivers Associations (TODA). This initiative, overseen by ICDO Chief Jun Degollado, ensured a smooth and efficient process, directly benefiting the individuals who depend on tricycles as their primary means of livelihood.

For many TODA members, the distribution of vehicle plates was more than a bureaucratic procedure—it was a step toward improved road safety, compliance, and legitimacy in their operations. It also represented LTO-R6’s dedication to empowering communities by addressing their specific needs through effective, localized solutions.

The “Lab for All” program embodies the government’s vision of inclusivity and accessibility, ensuring that no Filipino is left behind in availing vital government services. By actively participating, LTO-R6 reaffirmed its mission to support the riding public while fostering a future-ready and community-oriented approach to governance.
